SUBMIT TO HEX MAGAZINE!

When we say SUBMIT! here at HEX, we mean contribute.

HEX Magazine is all about community. We want to hear from you. Share your story, your knowledge, your experience. Be it a new article, or a reprint of one you are fond of, we would be honored to share it in our pages. We are always taking submissions! One of our main intentions at HEX is giving voice to the intuitive as well as the academic, female as well as male, traditional as well as contemporary application.

Before sending your submission please:

• Footnote or credit ideas and quotes when necessary using the Hex referencing guidelines
• Read and apply the Hex punctuation guide
• Send written submissions in .doc or .txt formats only
• Send image/art submissions in high resolution (min. 300dpi)
• Do not send submissions in .pdf format or in the body of an email
• Do not send images in .pdf format

We are especially interested in hearing about
these aspects of Heathen lifestyle:

• Seasonally relevant info
• History / Traditions
• Costumes / Celebrations
• Religion / Myth / European Shamanism
• Seidr in its traditional and modern day manifestations
• Health / Nutrition / Recipes
• Music / Visual Art / Poetry / Traditional Craft
• Nature / Earth Stewardship / Home Steading
• Parenting / Family / Community
• Personal Experience in the modern world
• Travel / Sacred sites

HEX is ALWAYS accepting submissions in the form of:

• Essays – ranging from the academic or philosophical to the practical
• Recurring columns
• Myths, Stories, Poetry, or personal experience that inspires or educates
• Recipes for food or drink or other?
• Visual Art – original artwork for every cover and throughout the magazine
• Reviews – books, music, film, art
• Interviews – with anyone inspiring
• Children’s contributions of art, stories, poems, etc.

HEX also invites advertisements and announcements.

HEX is available in a limited edition print form and partially online. This project is a labor of LOVE! We cannot pay you for your submissions at this time. But, all whose submissions are selected for the printed magazine will receive copies to add to their collection (contributors retain all rights to their own material).

The magazine is printed bi-annually on the Spring and Fall Equinoxes. Submissions are also due on the Equinoxes but can be sent anytime!
